Favorite martial arts activities:
Sparring and working off the wall.
What he likes best about Salick's:
"I like the diversity of techniques and the fact that all the ranks train together. One minute you're working with a white belt, the next minute you're working with a black belt. It mixes it up and keeps it fresh. Nobody's got the big ego here regarding belt rank. Everybody, from Sensei Salick on down, works with everybody else. Sensei says, `You're a student first, and a black belt second. The minute you stop thinking like that, you're done with martial arts.`"
"The other thing I like is that Sensei is open to feedback and new ideas. He's not a rigid-minded martial artist. That shows up in the curriculum and the way the classes are run. It makes it fun."
